The ‘Aranmula Uthrattadi Vallamkali’ or ‘Aranmula Boat Race’- the most ancient and revered boat races of Kerala and the Thrissur Pooram- A resplendent festival celebrated with a grand display of caparisoned elephants, dazzling parasols, and percussion music.

Classical dance performance by Odissi Finland

We celebrate the glorious art and culture of odisha in the form of its classical dance Odissi. This dance piece Mangalacharan is traditional invocatory piece of Odissi repertoire. The dancers would start with paying homage to Lord Jagannath for the auspicious beginning. Then it is followed by "Bhumipranam" where the dancers give salutation to mother earth and the shloka describes Lord Ganesha as the remover of obstacles and how he bestows the wisdom in us. The Mangalacharana concludes with "Sabhapranam" that includes greetings to the God, to the teacher and to the audience.
